NANA Boateng’s Woking got their first win of the season while Chin Okoli’s Bromley picked up their first point in the best of the midweek action concerning Millwall’s loan stars.

The pair had both found their temporary clubs off to slow starts in the National League but their fortunes seemed to be turning around last night.

Boateng started his second game in a row for Woking as they beat recently-relegated Rochdale 3-2 to grab their first win of the season.

Boateng would be subbed off during the win as manager Darren Sarll made a double half-time switch.

One of the two players to come on was striker Reece Grego-Cox, who grabbed two second-half goals including one penalty.

He now has three league goals in his last two games for Woking and Boateng, who is yet to score, has a challenge on his hands to try and keep up with his teammate.

Elsewhere, Bromley picked up their first point of the season in a 1-1 draw with fellow London side Wealdstone.

It lifts Andy Woodman’s side off the bottom of the table after they lost their opening two games.

Like Boeteng, Okoli would also find himself subbed off, replaced in the 65th minute by Todd Miller.

As for the third loanee Joe Wright, he was an unused sub for Salford City’s first defeat of the season last night, a 2-0 loss away to Grimsby.

He has yet to appear for the club across their three league games or the Carabao Cup win away at Preston North End and will be eagerly awaiting his first appearance.
