James Flanagan, 53, of Stead Street, was charged with her murder on Wednesday 17 December.
Police said they were called to a residential address on Rodney Road at 2:23 pm on Sunday, 14 December ‘following concerns for the welfare of a woman.’

They discovered a woman in her 50s dead who has now been named as Julie Wilson.
Her family are being supported by specialist officers.
Paying tribute to their Mum, Julie’s daughters said: “Julie Marie Wilson, a beautiful loving soul and mother to three daughters. Someone who loved without limits, gave without asking, who had a smile and a laugh that could light up any room. We’re counting down the days to be reunited with our Mum again. We will be loving and missing you forever, Mum.”
Flanagan was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and has now been charged with the crime.
Detective Inspector Mark Franklin, of the Met’s Specialist Crime South, said: “Our thoughts are with Julie’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
“While a man has now been charged, our investigation continues, and we urge anyone with information who has not yet spoken to us to come forward.”
