MURRAY WALLACE is entering his sixth season at Millwall and has seen plenty during his time at The Den.

He has also seen many players come and go throughout his years at the club.

The defender spoke to NewsAtDen about the current dressing room and answered a range of questions on the squad dynamics.

Who is your best mate in the dressing room?

I’d probably say I’m closest to Shaun Hutchinson. We’ve been at the club for quite a long time and we room together on away trips. We know each other quite well and get on very well.

Who’s the fussiest eater?

That’s a tricky one. We’re all not too fussy when it comes to our food. Maybe one of the younger lads, maybe.

Maybe Romain [Esse]. I’m only basing that off sometimes what I see on his tray at lunch. I wouldn’t say anyone’s overly fussy but if I had to take a stab I’d go for Rom.

Which teammate makes you laugh the most?

There’s a few actually. It’s all different types of humour. Coops [Jake Cooper] makes me laugh just because he’s so big and everything he does is so obvious and over the top. But then you have the likes of Duncs [Duncan Watmore] who’s more subtle with his comedy.

So there’s a few in there. Coops, Duncs, even Sav [George Saville] is quite funny. He’s got a bit of a serious side to him but once you get to know him you know he’s joking half the time.

Do any of your teammates have any interesting hobbies?

There’s a few that are practicing foreign languages at the minute. I think Longy [George Long] is practicing Spanish and Joe Bryan knows a little bit of French. Apart from that, most of the lads are golfers.

Who’s the politest person in the dressing room?

It’s probably Tom Bradshaw. He’s always offering to make the lads a coffee every morning. He’s got the nickname of the nicest guy in the changing room.

Tell fans something interesting they would not know about Bartosz Bialkowski?

People probably already know but he’s completely vegan.

Who is the most fun on a night out?

There’s probably a few. Coops is quite funny and after he’s had a few drinks he gets a bit clumsy and because he’s so big it looks even funnier.

Which player most likes a gossip?

That’s a tough one. I think at the minute we’re all saying ‘who are we signing? Who’s coming in?’ But I wouldn’t be able to pinpoint anyone.

What is Danny McNamara’s best quality?

He’s quite good at impersonations. Can’t think of any in particular at the moment but he’s quite funny.

Which player do you think Gary Rowett likes the most?

Maybe George Saville. They enjoy the odd conversation here and there.

Who’s the biggest movie buff?

I would’ve said Mason Bennett but he’s obviously gone. He loved his movies and was always watching the latest thing.

Coops is quite hot on his Netflix series and anything new that comes out, he’s the one who tends to have watched it and gives out recommendations.

Who’s the dressing room DJ?

Before and after the game, Nissy has taken the changing room role. He’s taken it but he’s on trial at the minute. We’ve had a couple little tasters of it and we’ve had some mixed reviews so we’re not sure how long he’ll stay on it!

The changing room DJ is up for grabs at the minute.

If a wild dog was to break into the training ground, and all the players were there, who is most likely to stand up to it and defend the others?

Dogs have come onto the training pitch a few times but they tend to just run off by themselves.

There’s a story from last season when Hutchy [Hutchinson] was in and a fox came into the training pitch and got stuck in one of the nets. I think he and one of the physios managed to free him.

So I’ll go Hutchy. He’s got dogs himself as well.

Same scenario – a wild dog breaks into the training ground. Which player is most likely to be hiding under the table?

Probably Tyler Burey. I think he’s actually scared of dogs.

If you had to go rock climbing with one of Alex Mitchell, Romain Esse or Aidomo Emakhu, who are you picking and why?

I was going to say Alex Mitchell but I’d probably go for Rom or Aido. I think they’re a bit more explosive and will be jumping around. Yeah I’d probably say Aido.

What have been your first impressions of Wes Harding and Casper De Norre?

They’re both good lads. It’s always difficult for a foreign lad coming in to a new culture but Casper has settled in really quickly. He speaks good English which helps and Wes seems like a really nice guy from the chats I’ve had with him.

Who’s the biggest gamer? Who loves their PS5 or Xbox?

Again, that would have been a good one for Mason Bennett. But I think Aidomo loves his gaming. I always see him on away trips. He always takes his suitcase and Playstation [case]. But most of us are married with kids so we don’t have time for gaming anymore.

Tell me something about Ryan Leonard?

He’s a good laugh, always light-hearted.

Who’s the most optimistic in the dressing room about the new season?

Obviously we’re all quite optimistic but I would say Zian [Flemming] is quite a positive guy. He’s always talking about the best possible outcomes and having positive thinking.
