ALEX Neil thinks Millwall have “good options” in the final third following Saturday’s 3-0 win over West Bromwich Albion at The Den.
The Lions produced their best attacking display of the season against the Baggies, scoring more than they had in any game this season through goals from Jake Cooper, Femi Azeez, and Zak Sturge.
Millwall were uncharacteristically ruthless, converting three of their four shots on target into goals. In their previous four home league games, they had netted just once.
Neil explained why he thought his side were more clinical in front of goal.
“Femi is back,” Neil said. “Zak, I thought, was a threat down that side. [Thierno] Ballo was really good, I thought he played really well. Josh Coburn was a handful as well. He led the line really well for us. Will [Smallbone]’s running power was excellent. So we’ve got some good options now in that final third area.
“If I could put a montage of chances together from the start of the season until now, I could give you loads. But I thought today, we made them count.
“Ultimately, goals change games, don’t they? They change the feeling of everything because when you score, and you score at good times, it’s a nice feeling.”
