LUKE Cundle has been nominated for the March goal of the month award for his clever finish against Blackburn Rovers on March 14.
With the game scoreless early in the second half, Cundle lost his marker and got on the end of Femi Azeez’s whipped ball in, adjusting to hook the ball into the back of the net after slightly overrunning the cross.
The strike was Cundle’s fourth of the season.
The game went on to finish 2-1 in Blackburn’s favour after Zak Sturge’s controversial sending off, with Mathias Jorgensen bagging both goals.
The other nominees include Swansea City’s Liam Cullen (vs Stoke City), Watford’s Nestory Irankunda (vs Stoke City) and Southampton’s Shea Charles (vs Oxford United).
