Berylson: Millwall will learn the lessons from relegation scare

© Edmund Boyden CHAIRMAN John Berylson believes Millwall's battle against relegation last season will prove to be a valuable learning curve for the club. The American insists the Lions will heed the warning signs from their disappointing campaign as they plan for the future.

"I think we learned a lot about ourselves," he told the club's official site. "We learned how to run a Championship club and what we have to worry about in the future. We now know a lot about the other clubs and our players' abilities. "For whatever reason, there were a lot of things we didn't learn this time last year. As we went into our meetings at the end of the season, it's interesting how different our agenda was from what it was in the prior year."
