LYNN ABC’s Damario Johnson was victorious at the Balham ABC boxing show last weekend after a long lay-off.
Johnson earned a unanimous points win against Ashley Saynor from Reading ABC.
Lynn coach Terry Pearson said: “Damario put in fantastic performance. His coach Elwin Ollivierre said he was desperate to get him back out as he had been looking very sharp in the gym, but to put a performance like that in against an undefeated opponent was more than I could have asked for.”
Meanwhile, Lynn’s Frankie Hanratty has been selected to represent The Alliance UK team in the Caribbean Golden Gloves tournament in Martinique in April.
Pearson added: “This is a great opportunity for Frankie and he has also been made Team UK captain as a result of winning back-to-back Alliance ABA national titles.”
