Lynn ABC enjoyed a superb day at the South London Belt Tournament held in Mitcham and hosted by Balham Boxing Club last Sunday, as the club returned home with two impressive victories.
First into the ring for Lynn was Sahil Arubi, competing in the junior under-67kg category against Finlay Seton of Honour and Glory ABC. Arubi produced a composed and disciplined performance to take a unanimous points decision. The win was particularly noteworthy given Seton’s status as the reigning national novice champion at the weight.
Arubi boxed intelligently throughout, playing to his strengths and controlling the bout to secure a comfortable and deserved victory on the judges’ scorecards.

The success continued with Frankie Hanratty in the open class under-57kg division. Hanratty faced Priyesh Kanji of Southall ABC and once again delivered a polished display, earning a second unanimous points win for.
Fresh from a standout showing at last week’s WBC International Tournament, Hanratty picked up where he left off, impressing with his skill, movement and ring control. His performance drew praise from spectators, with several in attendance describing it as the finest display of boxing they had seen on the day.
With the South London Belt Tournament concluded, Lynn have closed for the Christmas period. The club returns in the New Year, buoyed by recent successes and looking ahead with confidence to even bigger achievements in 2026.
