LYNN ABC’s Sahil Arubi has reached the final of the England Alliance Junior Novice Championship after having to box twice in one day at Hayes in Middlesex last weekend.
Arubi fought Daniel Murzac from Gator ABC in the quarter-final, putting in a superb boxing display and winning with a unanimous points decision.
Next up in the semi-final he faced Vejas Skendelis from Broad St ABC. Arubi carried on from where he left off earlier in the day, boxing beautifully and getting another unanimous points win.
Arubi will box for the national title on Sunday (November 2) in Hayes where he will be joined by Courtney Vernon, who reached the final after her semi-final opponent pulled out.
