The iconic nightclub Ministry of Sound will be transformed into a high energy fitness arena next month, with the launch of Ministry of Sound Games, writes Claudia Macaluso
The event will blend high-energy workouts with the club culture Ministry of Sound is famed for, all taking place on July 1st, and starting from 11:30 am.
Throughout the day, attendees will take part in games events which will run in high-energy, 50-minute waves, with teams of 10 competing across three immersive fitness zones.
Every zone was envisioned and created by Nike ‘master trainer’ Courtney Fearon.

Fearon said: “This isn’t your average workout. It’s a high-energy, experience-first fitness occasion set in a nightclub. Whether you’re ready to go all out or just want to vibe through, the session flexes with your energy. We’re bringing the moves to the dance floor.”
The venue in Elephant & Castle maintains an established history in the fitness space, starting in 2004, with a best-selling dance workout DVD.
Multiple waves of participants are expected to take on the course, creating a high-intensity, festival-style atmosphere throughout the venue, with different live DJs allocated to every room.
Amongst the artists performing on the day are Debbie’s Thug Life, KC Leigh, Izzy Trixx, Joe NBO, and Suni Side Up, who will be playing genres ranging from spinning House and Garage to Bass.
All levels of expertise are welcome to participate, with challenges consisting in a combination of functional strength training, explosive cardio, team-based drills and progress-tracked performance.
Before the event begins, challengers will be able to receive treatments like hair braids by London’s beauty booking service Ruuby App, and participate in pre-drink with Nocco’s BCAAs beverages.
At the end of the workout, they will have the chance to recover with StretchLab’s custom restorative methodology and take part in an ice plunge.
Tickets also include entry to the ‘Jungle Cakes Yard Party’, the day party taking place in the courtyard between 2:00pm and 10:00pm, with the participation of a series of DJs, including Ed Solo & Deekline and Benny Page. Protein shakes, beers, frozen cocktails and street food will be available.
Goodie bags from brands like Barebells and Vitamin Wells will also be distributed throughout the event.
Tickets can be purchased on the Ministry of Sound website and prices start from £65 per person, with separate options or price brackets available for duos and teams of 10.
