Popeyes UK is opening its 100th restaurant in London Bridge, just four years after entering the British market, writes Jessica Khan…

Popeyes said its 100th location will open on next Tuesday 25 November inside London Bridge station. It is the brand’s 27th site in London since launching in the UK in November 2021. The company said it plans to open nearly 50 more locations in 2025, creating more than 2,500 jobs.

“We’re immensely proud to have reached this milestone – growing to 100 restaurants within four years of entering a new market is a remarkable achievement,” said CEO of Popeyes UK Tom Crowley.

“Our growth so far is a strong testament to the strength and appeal of the Popeyes brand and our fantastic, authentic fried chicken, which is always cooked fresh and breaded by hand.”

He added: “Our restaurants in travel locations are always popular with commuters and holidaymakers grabbing a Popeyes on their journey, and we can’t wait to bring our shatter crunchin’ chicken to London Bridge, where customers will have access to our world famous products as well as exciting new items yet to come,” said Crowley

Spanning two floors and 3,000 square feet, the London Bridge restaurant is Popeyes’ latest move into high-traffic travel hubs. Earlier this year, the brand partnered with SSP Group to open its first UK airport site at Birmingham Airport and later added a location at Birmingham New Street Station.

The company was also named in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2025.

“We’re now truly one of the most well-established fried chicken QSR brands in the market. We continue to see an amazing customer response at all of our openings, and we will continue to open more Popeyes restaurants up and down the UK in 2026,” said Crowley.
