A 22-year-old man has been charged with murder following a fatal burglary in Lewsham in February last year.
Romar McDermott, of Mitcham Lane, Wandsworth, appeared at the Old Bailey yesterday (Tuesday 24 March), charged with the murder of Myles Meyjes.
Myles, 46, died on 20 February 2025, just over a week after he was admitted to hospital after he reported being the victim of an assault during an aggravated burglary at his home in SE12.
Romar is the second man to be charged in connection with the incident.
Jamal Morgan-Salih, 32, of West Court Lane, Gravesend, appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 24 January, also charged with murder.
He was remanded in custody to next appear at the Old Bailey on Thursday, 9 April.
The Met launched a murder investigation in December after reviewing the findings of the post-mortem examination.
