MILLWALL have been handed three nominations for the 2025-26 EFL Awards, with Alex Neil, Femi Azeez, and Sheldon Kendall all shortlisted for manager of the season, player of the season and academy player of the season, respectively.
Neil has been rewarded for guiding the Lions through a fantastic season that has them on course for their first top-six Championship appearance since 2001-02.
They have already broken the 70-point mark, the first time they have done so since 2017-18 and are five points off the tally set over 20 years ago, when Mark McGhee’s side fell to Birmingham City in the play-offs.
Azeez, 24, has been instrumental in their success, leading the Lions in goal contributions, with eight goals and seven assists in his second season in the Championship.
Kendall, 18, is a regular fixture in Kevin Nugent’s under-21s side and won Millwall’s academy player of the season award in 2024-25, the same campaign he made his first-team debut in the FA Cup against Dagenham & Redbridge. He also made two substitute appearances in the EFL Cup last August.
The forward signed a new, long-term contract in January.
The winners will be announced live on Sky Sports on Sunday, April 19.
