But Dixon claimed he only went \u201coccasionally\u201d to the property to let Betty and some other dogs out and he said he was being blamed for the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In mitigation the court was told that Penfold suffered from disabilities and had been the victim of domestic abuse.
