On the fourteenth floor, there plans to be a sky bar with a terrace garden and external bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hotel rooms would be located from the mezzanine floor all the way to the fifteenth floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Planning officers said that over the past year, the demand for office floorspace in the local area has continued to decline. Those who had objected to the plans are concerned that the scheme has no public benefits, the hotel is too tall for the area and that there is \u201cno need for another hotel in this location\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Planning officers responded and said the hotel will create jobs and boost economic activity while meeting a demand for hotel beds. They also said the proposed building height was acceptable and has been fully assessed in terms of quality of design, heritage and any potential harm to residential amenity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The London LGBTQ+ Community Centre said: \u201cNew developments, albeit bringing new people, energy and wealth to the areas they inhabit, can also pose the risk of gentrification \u2013alienating and pushing local communities away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Infinite Partners team have so far shown a genuine commitment to Southwark\u2019s residents through their Community Investment Programme.
