In the last 20 years we have:
- Successfully campaigned to build a new school in Bermondsey
- Helped create 100 apprentices in 100 days, and then created 100 apprenticeship opportunities in as many companies
- Co-launched the Southwark Blue Plaques scheme, voted for by local people, recognising dozens of historically important people and buildings
- Raised more than £100,000 for the amazing Evelina Children’s Hospital
- Given away over £14,000 of free advertising to other independent local businesses during the pandemic
- Given away free advertising to Brixton businesses after the 2011 riots, and to Herne Hill businesses after extreme flooding
- Led the fight to keep Rotherhithe as a suburban haven
- Remained proud to be a London Living Wage employer
- Trained dozens of reporters and helped work experience trainees find jobs in our industry.
