Group lectures on the music of Franz Schubert will take place this summer term on Mondays at 10am at Blackheath Halls, starting 20 April.
The ten two-hour lectures will be delivered by British composer Matthew Taylor and will cover a wide range of Schubert’s works, from symphonies to string quartets.
Students will pay half price for the lectures, which have an individual price of £17 or a reduced charge of £153 for the full programme.
If you want to give it a go and have never attended one of the group’s lectures, you can attend your first session for free.
The lectures are organised by the Blackheath Music Appreciation Group, a local community organisation in South East London dedicated to the study of classical music.
Matthew Taylor was born in 1964 and is a prominent English composer and conductor, with contributions to modern symphonic and chamber music.
